Development of boom electric fishing equipment for use in large rivers and canals in the United Kingdom

Abstract.The construction of a multiple electrode fishing boom is described. The efficiency of the equipment was compared with more conventional hand‐held electric fishing equipment and seine netting in a series of field trials. Differences were found in the fishing efficiencies of the equipment teslcd.
