Buoyed by rising production from Kazakhstan's giant Kashagan field, loadings of CPC Blend crude oil are set to achieve record volumes of around 4.387 million metric tons (1.2 million b/d) in September (NC Aug.10'17). Volumes of Kashagan crude going through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline from Kazakhstan to a terminal near the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk are set to rise to around 280,000 b/d in September, more than 30 higher than the amount scheduled for August (table). All the main five shareholders in the Kashagan operating consortium, the North Caspian Operating Co. (NCOC) - Total, Eni, Exxon Mobil, Kazmunaigas (KMG) and Royal Dutch Shell - have allocations, with Total marketing Exxon's share of production, and Swiss trader Vitol in charge of selling KMG's entitlement.
