A device designed to track divers who get into difficulties at sea has been named as winner of an IET-backed design contest established in memory of a member who died in an underwater accident two years ago. The DiveTrack competition was set up by Fiona Denny in memory of her sister Penny Glover, a satellite communications engineer and member of competition sponsor the British Sub Aqua Club who died in a diving accident in 2005. Her body, along with that of her diving 'buddy' Jacques Filippi, was only discovered after seven weeks.
