The authors report a case of a patient with chronic coronary artery disease and left ventricular aneurysm studied with Tc-99m MIBI and TI-201 myocardial scintigraphy. Tc-99m MIBI allowed direct visualization of the aneurysm, whereas TI-201 showed only a large fixed perfusion defect in the same area. These results can be explained by the better imaging properties of Tc-99m MIBI compared with TI-201.
