Co-developed by razer and THX, the pricey $399.99 Mako 2.1 Advanced Desktop Audio System is Razer's first foray into the audio world. That doesn't make these mushroom-shaped speakers a rookie package, however: They're a home theater system in disguise. Razer's designers gave the Mako a compact, funky design. Each of the black orbs packs a 360-degree grill on the bottom, which helps the satellites create an omnidirectional soundstage. The downward-firing satellites each deliver a bi-amplified 50 watts, while the subwoofer commands an additional 100 watts for a total system power of 300 watts RMS.
