AbstractThis paper describes some problems and solutions in the design of software for a multi‐computer system for real‐time use. Particular concepts discussed are inter‐computer communication, computer‐aided reconfiguration, data integrity control, selective notification of amendements and the influence of debugging, testing and assembly sequence on the design approach.
