Whether it's a mobile phone, car or lift-truck, we all expect different things from the same product. The latest 4x4 may attract the youthful driver requiring a little extra sex-appeal, entice the safety-conscious parent with its supposed extra protection, and even occasionally have its off-road abilities toyed with by the more adventurous driver. But rather than being all things to everyone, wouldn't it be a more logical approach to sell such a machine in several, more specialised forms, to appeal to customers' varying requirements?
