New FDA guidance on hazard control for human and animal foods spells out compliance for small businesses

Changes food companies will need to make to comply with the new Preventive Controls for human and animal food rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), specific examples for different types of food, and when companies are exempt from the new requirements are spelled out in new guidance issued by FDA Monday (Oct. 31) to help small and very small businesses implement the rules.
