Measurements of the local data of void fraction and bubble count rate have been performed using a conductivity probe. The results indicate that the distributions of void fraction follow closely analytical solutions of the diffusion equation, as developed by Chanson. Data analysis also suggests that the air entrainment process depends on the jet impact velocity and penetration depth has been found to be a sensitive to falling water jet height.
