US Gulf fob petroleum coke prices slipped slightly this week, although activity was thin, with little supply available but also few bids. Argus assessed US Gulf coast 4.5pc sulphur coke at $72/t, down by 50￠/t on the week. US Gulf coast 6.5pc sulphur coke prices retreated by the same amount, to $62.50/t. Many traders in the market are expecting some additional price decline, as demand for coke from China and India wanes.
