Abscess Mimicking Normal Spleen on Inhyphen;111 WBC Scan

摘要

A 38-year-old woman with unexplained fever underwent an In-111 WBC scan. Normal and near normal initial images were misleading because the patient had had a splenectomy for idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura. Afterward, 200 cc of pus was drained from the abscess in the splenic bed.
