Interaction of Ce with Sithinsp;(100)

摘要

The interaction of Ce with Sithinsp;(100) surfaces has been studied qualitatively by photoemission with synchrotron radiation. For coverages of a few monolayers the reaction yields a disordered phase with a wide variation of Sihyphen;Ce coordinations which do not depend on the distance from the surface. For coverages above 5 monolayers a mixed phase of Ce and a Ce silicide is found. Segregation of a Sihyphen;like phase to the surface does not take place.
