Until Chicago's Earth Day celebration recently, it never registered in my mind that wetcleaning could be a valuable service for the consumer with a medical ailment. Next to the display we hosted to promote the Illinois Star Recognition Program, however, a woman named Lynn Lawson had a booth. At first, we couldn't figure out why this elderly lady was selling organic bananas for a dime, but most of us couldn't resist a 10-cent treat. She was there to sell copies of her book, Staying Well in a Toxic World.
