Crisp Clean Services Ltd., a U.K.-based manufacturer of mobile cleaning stations for commercial janitorial applications, bends and pierces substantial quantities of stainless steel tubing. In addition to compartments for cleaning materials and waste, the cleaning carts have other features to speed cleaning and reduce fatigue, such as ergonomically positioned mop buckets and moldings for carrying mop wringers. Crisp Clean's conventional hydraulic bending machines ran large batches of parts in each production run and required setup by skilled staff. The company sought a machine that would run more efficiently.
