A mixed solution, composed by 700μg mL{sup}-1 of Zn, 20μg mL{sup}-1 of Cd, 200μg mL{sup}-1 of Cu, and 300μg mL{sup}-1 of Pb, was used to obtain the Breakthrough Curves (BTCs) of the displacement of these metals in soil columns understeady-state water flow conditions. These BTCs were used to determine the retardation factors and the coefficient of dispersion-diffusion of those metals in horizons A, B, and C of two Ultisols and one Oxisol from Brazil. The BTCs of non-limed and limedsoils had a sigmoid behavior in the soil materials studied, and the retardation factors presented the following sequence: Zn展开▼
