Calculation of an induced voltage to an overhead loop from a grounding system

摘要

This paper has investigated a transient induced voltage to an overhead loop due to a step current injected into a grounding system, representing a lightning current flowing into the grounding system in an intelligent building and in a power substation. A simulation model of the induced voltage proposed in the paper shows a satisfactory accuracy compared with measured results. The loop position and the earth penetration depth are found to affect the induced voltage significantly.
