The first overtone vibrationhyphen;rotation lines of hydrogen fluoride have been observed around the wavelength region of 1.3 mgr;m by using a currenthyphen;tunable InGaAsP semiconductor laser operated at the temperature range from minus;24thinsp;deg;C to +24thinsp;deg;C. The laser frequency has been locked to one of theRhyphen;branch lines with the stability of 2.0times;10minus;10ge;sgr;(2,tgr;)ge;7.9times;10minus;11at the averaging time between 1 and 240 s.
