They realized the opportunity of the globalization.of the services economy in the early 1990s. Syntel opened its first Global Development Center in Mumbai in 1992 and began providing global IT services to a global insurance giant. While consulting companies were flying their consultants to client locations each week, we realized that we could flip that model upside down and take the project to our teams anywhere in the world.
