Negativity persists for manganese alloys despite steel price rebound

US sheet steel prices have been climbing for five consecutive weeks since reaching a bottom on 30 October. Mills have announced three rounds of price increases for sheet steel, two price increases for plate and one for wire rod. Scrap prices increased about $20 /l.ton in November and are poised to increase another $30 /l.ton in December, which should support steel prices.
