AbstractLymphatic plexuses from certain areas of serous cavities can be injected by a simple procedure which simulates the normal mechanism of absorption. Apparatus consists of a 500 ml filtration flask with side arm attached to a vacuum apparatus. Excised serous membranes are draped over the mouth of the flask and flooded with ink. Vacuum is applied intermittently, resulting in absorption and flow. The method can be applied to frozen and thawed tissue and is suitable for human autopsy material.
