Kellermaniaand its generic segregates

The history of the generic namesKellermaniaEll. amp; Ev.,ChaetoconisClements,ScolecosporiellaPetrak non Houml;hn.,AmphorulaGrove andBrenckleaPetrak is reviewed. Two species are included inKellermania, K. anomala(Cooke) Houml;hn., andK. majorDearn. amp; Barth., and one inChaetoconis, C. polygoni(Ell. amp; Ev.) Clements.Brenckleais reduced to synonymy withScolecosporiella, and this genus enlarged to include three species,S. typhae(Oud.) Petrak,S. sisyrinchii(Ell. amp; Ev.) n. comb. (equiv;Kellermania sisyrinchiiEll. amp; Ev.), andS. kranziin. sp.Obstipipilusn. gen., type speciesO. malabaricus(T.S. amp; K. Ramakrishnan) n. comb. (equiv;Kellermania malabaricaT. S. amp; K. Ramakrishnan), is described. Six species described in or transferred toKellermaniaare excluded from the genus.
