CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL STUDIES OF SCOPARIA DULCIS L. PLANT EXTRACTS

摘要

Dichloromethane, 1-butanol and aqueous parts of methanol extractof Scoparia dulcis L. (whole plant)were tested for antibacterial,antifungal, insecticidal and toxicity activities. All the extractswere active against three bacteria, namely Klebsiella pneumoniae,Proteus mirabilis and Streptococcus pyogenes. In addition to thatdichloromethane and aqueous part of methanol extract showed activityagainst Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus,respectively.
