The tables of the thermodynamic properties of potassium 1 and sodium 2 vapors exhibit noticeable differences between the calculation results and reference data (for example, 3), which have also been calculated on the assumption that the alkali metal vapor is a mixture of ideal gases, namely, monomers Me and dimers Me{sub}2 reacting by the 2Me←→ Me{sub}2 scheme. It was believed that such discrepancies at pressures below atmospheric could point to possible errors in calculations 1, 2.
