China's largest state-controlled coal producer Shenhua has been forced to cut production at two major mines in Inner Mongolia, leading to supply shortages that will reduce thermal power generation. Shenhua has suspended production at its Baorixile mine and reduced output at the Ha'erwusu mine in Inner Mongolia, China's biggest coal-producing region, starting this month. Shenhua took the action as a result of "the temporary suspension of the earthwork stripping process due to the delay of the land requisition."
