摘要

The present commercial phosphor Zn_(2+)SiO_4:Mn ~(2+) requires further improvement because of its long decay time. In this work, the co-doping effects of Ba~(2+) and Ti~(4+) upon emission intensity and decay time were investigated. Ba~(2+) and Ti ~(4+) cations have favorable influences on the photoluminescent properties. When doped with appropriate amount of Ba~(2+), the intensity of green emission was increased 12 and the decay time was shortened 18. When doped with appropriate amount of Ti~(4+), the luminescence intensity was enhanced a little, and the decay time was shortened 14. Ba~(2+) and Ti~(4+) were co-doped in Zn_(2+)SiO_4:Mn~(2+) system, the luminescence intensity was enhanced 18, and the decay time was shortened sharply (about 31).
