摘要

Rare earth Nd~(3+)-doped ferroelectric lead germanate single crystals were grown by controlled cooling of the melt. K~+ was added for valency compensation. The grown crystals were characterized for their pyroelectric behavior over a temperature range of 30-400 deg C. Doped crystals exhibited a broad, diffused, prominent peak around 300 deg C. The doping is observed to reduce room temperature pyroelectric coefficient. The results may be attributed to the double doping of Nd~(3+) and K~+.
