AbstractA synthetic peptide, Ser‐Arg‐Phe‐Ser‐Trp‐Gly‐Ala‐Glu‐Gly‐Gln‐Arg, of identical sequence to residues 112 to 122 of the basic protein of human myelin was active in guinea pigs in inducing experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
