8-way VLIW microprocessor based on improved VLIW architecture is developed for embedded application. This processor equips execution units of floating-point calculation, performed 2.1GFLOPS, and media operations, performed 12.8GOPS. To achieve these performances, our microprocessor is fabricated with 0.11μm CMOS process technology. We use late clock technique, and design a part of our microprocessor by the custom design. We describe the method of logical verification for this processor.
