Ectopic ureteroceles are diagnosed with increasing frequency, usually in patients in infancy or early childhood. Unlike the simple ureteroceles, they are almost always associated with the upper segment of a duplex kidney. Scintigraphy with Tc-99m chelates demonstrates hydronephrosis and hydroureter. A ureterocele is rarely demonstrated in the bladder through scintigraphy (1). A case of marked hydronephrosis of the upper pole and a ureterocele in the bladder revealed on renal imaging is presented.
