AbstractDifferent ways had been successfully used for the removal of organic matter in wastewaters. Conventional treatments are frequently used in Cuba, but it is necessary to find out the best possibilities from the economical point of view. The oxidation channel constitutes a very simple aerobic treatment with high efficiency, and it has never been used in Cuba, that's why the evaluation of the behaviour of this biological reactor is very important in order to establish its advantages in Cuban climatic conditions. Conventional parameters were determined. The obtained results were promising.
