AbstractSurvival of pine seedlings was tested in greenhouses where substrates were infected withRbizoctonia, FusariumorRbizoctoniawithFusarium. To reduce the pathogen menace biological (sterile sawdust,Tricbodermaor sawdust withTricboderma) or chemical (seed protection) treatments were performed. Incorporation of sawdust or sawdust withTricboderma20 days before sowing increased the survival of seedlings and it was comparable to protection with Nemispor forFusarium‐menace, with Funaben T forRbizoctoniamenace and Oxafun T or Karbochin for both pathogen
