Bone scintigraphy using Tc-99m MDP is a standard part of the staging process of many malignancies. Sometimes extraskeletal uptake is noted. The authors describe a bone scan in which uptake was noted in the gallbladder wall, corresponding to a "porcelain gallbladder" on plain film radiographs and computed tomography.
