In the year of the 50th anniversary a series of publications is started to introduce the activity of the Research Isntitute of the Hungarian Sugar Industry from the time of foundation to the present. The fourth (last) part shows works on the field of crystallsiation, e. g. sugar house scheme optimation programs, technical developments, process control in crystallisation and centrifuging, developments in the economics of energy consumption. Developments in sugar analysis, microbiological control of the produced sugar are also introduced.
