摘要

The studies on flower production and economics of Chrysanthemum cultivation were conducted at different levels of nitrogen and potash applications along with plant spacings. A dose of 160 kg/ha nitrogen delayed the emergence of flower than control and80 kg/ha nitrogen. But the no. of flowers buds produced were more at this dose Similar effect was observed on flower colour break. It was due to more vegetative growth. The 160 kg/ha nitrogen produce longer flower stalk, more heavy flowers than controland 240 kg/ha dose. Flower longivity was also more at 160 kg/ha nitrogen application. Although picking days of flowers were more at higher nitrogen applications. The net returns were also more at 160 kg/ha nitrogen applied plots. Potash produced flower earliest at 180 kg/ha dose. Flower bud appearance, no of flowers, flower yield and flower longivity were more at 120 kg/ha dose of potash including the economic returns. Spacing of 60 x 45 cm between plants and rows delayed the appearance of flowers thanclosely planted plants but no of flowers, flower field and benefits were more to this spacing.
