Incidental Findings of FDG Uptake in Dental Caries

NA;It is well known that Fhyphen;18 fluorodeoxyglucose lpar;FDGrpar; is taken up by different tumors and active inflammation. Focal uptake of FDG may cause falsehyphen;positive results in certain benign conditions. However, the incidental finding of FDGhyphen;positron emission tomographic lpar;PETrpar; uptake in dental caries has not been reported. In the current report, a 48hyphen;yearhyphen;old man was hospitalized for an FDGPET tumor survey with incidental findings of uptake in dental caries.
