A 33-year-old white man who underwent surgery for correction of a cervical spine congenital anomaly (Klippel Feil syndrome) was referred for radionuclide cisternography for evaluation of hydrocephalus. CT and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a cystic structure in the posterior fossa. Radionuclide cisternography offered physiologic information in this case by demonstrating the presence of a communication between this cyst and the CSF.
