摘要

Measurements of the thermophysical properties of liquid metals, alloys, and graphite have been performed under a fast-heating method. The method is based on resistive heating of the specimen, particularly in a sapphire capillary tube. These tubes restrict the volume around the specimen and give the possibility of measuring the specific volume of expanded metal or graphite under high temperature and high pulse pressure. Experimental results on brasses, bronzes (resistance and enthalpy), molybdenum (heat capacity in liquid state) are discussed. The resistivity of expanded molybdenum, tantalum, and expanded graphite have been obtained under fast heating of the specimens in sapphire capillary tubes. Data for diamond powder production during fast heating of mixtures (graphite + copper) have also been obtained.
