Time diversity has been rarely used because multiple transmission of the same slot degrades the throughput efficiency and the power efficiency compared to space diversity. This paper proposes a new scheme of time diversity, which is equivalent to a rate 1/2 repetition code. At the receiver, two branch combining with the corresponding symbols are carried out when the errors are detected in both slots. It has been shown by computer simulations that the new scheme achieves similar BER performance with the case of space diversity reception under Rayleigh fading environments.
