A one-step and high-yielding synthesis of #x3B7;5-cyclopentadienyliron tricarbonyl hexafluorophosphate is described. The procedure involves the bromination of bis (#x3B7; -cyclopentadienyldicarbonyliron) carried out in the presence of an excess of AlCl3.
