Nebraska regulators on 20 November approved a route for TransCanada’s long-delayed 830,000 b/d Keystone XL crude pipeline, the last major regulatory hurdle for the project to proceed. But the state’s choice of an alternative route, as opposed to TransCanada’s preferred route, could result in further legal and regulatory delays, changing the cost and schedule of the line, analysts said.
