Microfilast; was injected into lymph vessels of live rabbits to demonstrate lymphatic microcirculatory spaces within popliteal lymph nodes during an immune reaction. Lymph glands of normal antigenically experiened animals were compared with those regional to injected Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanindagger; using stereomicroscopy and radiographs. The degree of filling increased and the morphology of lymphatic spaces altered within both the cortex and medulla of nodes regional to the injected antigen. These changes including saccules adjacent to follicles were particularly obvious on radiographs; these may be of basic importance to the understanding of immune reactions and their diagnosis by radiological methods.
