Students at cheltenham and Gloucester college's Pitville campus in Cheltenham may not realise it, but when they climb the stairs of their new student villas, they will be enclosed in a stairwell built from materials more used to carrying sewage. Local builder Moss Construction has made the stairwells from 2.7 m wide concrete manhole rings.
