Evaluation of the anisotropic Green's function and its derivatives

An algorithm for computing the anisotropic elastic Green's function and its derivatives is presented. The method is based upon the calculus of residues, the main requirement being the computation of the roots of a sixth degree polynomial. It is demonstrated herein that this procedure is faster and more accurate than the standard Wilson-Cruse interpolation scheme, and moreover the need for extensive precalculated tables is eliminated.
