Riva drops HRC prices on poor demand with other EU mills expected to follow

Italian steelmaker Riva Group has dropped its hot rolled coil prices on poor demand and will soon be followed by other European mills, market participants told MB. The Italian producer sold November production to local market customers at 360-380 euros (542-572 dollars) per tonne delivered, down from 390-400 euros per tonne previously. ArcelorMittal looks set to follow Riva's lead and drop its list prices to under 400 euros per tonne for next month, market participants said.
