Burns and Their Psychological Effects on Children

An estimated two million people suffer burns serious enough to seek medical attention, and thousands die each year from fires. Children are especially vulnerable to the trauma of burns. This article examines the psychological effects of burns in children and suggests ways of preventing the burns using the epidemiological model.
