After completing his MBBS in 1973 from the University of Hong Kong, Prof. Leung became an intern at the Queen Mary Hospital. He then completed his pediatric residency followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the Foothills Provincial Hospital of the University of Calgary. He was subsequently certified as a Pediatric Endocrinologist by the American Academy of Pediatrics. A holder of MBBS, DCH(Lond Irel), FRCPC; FRCP(UK Irel), FRCPCH, and FAAP degrees, Prof. Leung is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Calgary and is a Pediatric Consultant at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Prof. Leung's areas of interest include general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology.
