Hemangioma of the ovary is reported in a 23-year-old woman. In a review of the literature, 18 such tumors were reported previously. The incidence appears higher in the group younger than 30 (62percnt;). Cavernous hemangioma was the most common type. The size of the tumors ranged up to 12 cm in diameter. The one recorded here is the largest yet reported. Two of the reported ovarian hemangiomas were accompanied by ascites which disappeared after the tumor was removed surgically.
