A New Automated Gas Flowmeter Developed by LIP

In this paper, a partly computer-controlled constant pressure gas flowmeter is described together withits automatic control and data acquisition system. The uncertainty evaluation is also discussed in the measurement range. A comparison with a constant volume gas flowmeter was carried out and showed a good agreement between the two flowmeters. For this flowmeter, the gas flow range is from 10~(-4) Pa m~(3) s~(-1) to 10~(-8) Pa m~(3) s~(-1) with relative combined standard uncertainties from 0.57percent to 0.78percent.
