The system was jointly developed by experts from the mine's owners, SUEK-Kuzbass, and German manufacturers marco and Eickhoff. Monitoring and control of the equipment is achieved through the use of multiple sensors mounted to the shearer and hydraulic support unit, as well as video cameras, including infrared cameras. The automation system controls the movement of the shearer, valve support units, operation and armoured face conveyor.
