The cassava root harvester is a wedge-shaped vibrating plow consisting of a triangular share and a slat type plane bottom inclined at 25-30° rake angle. It is attached to the main frame by two leaf-spring beams. The harvester is rearmounted andcan harvest 100 roots. It required 16 kW draft power at speed of 6.1 km/h at 37 cm depth in sandy loam soil at 18.6 moisture content (db). The maximum field capacity was 0.64 ha/h.
